God is a just judge. He helps those who help Him make the world better. For such a person God would put His hand in the fire and defend them against their enemies.
But He grants this high level of spiritual protection only when a person believes in Him, does good deeds and is obedient to God.
God is truly Just, and that is exactly why He gives to those who deserve it. That is also why He does not help anyone at any time. Those who have committed grave sins and the undeserving may also receive good from Him, but regularly and abundantly only those who love Him and Jesus.
